Researchers have recently completed the Develop and Disseminate Outreach Materials to Enhance Freight Investments in the Mississippi Valley Region (MAFC 08) project and issued a final report.

This project created a new section on the MAFC website that contains information about freight and goods movements in each of the ten states of the Mid-America Freight Coalition.

Working Paper: Microsimulation of Commodity Flows

Researchers working on the Microsimulation of Commodity Flows (CFIRE 04-30) project have recently issued a working paper entitled “Incorporating Toll Pricing Policy into a Microsimulation Model for Long-Distance Freight Transportation.” This paper substantially improves the policy sensitivity of the MAFC microsimulation model. 2010 Urban Congestion Trends

The FHWA recently published the 2010 Urban Congestion Trends: Enhancing System Reliability with Operations.  All three of the FHWA’s congestion measures were slightly worse in 2010 than in the previous year.
