Congressman Petri with CFIRE staff and faculty

CFIRE hosted Congressman Thomas Petri in January. Congressman Petri shared his observations on the importance of the nation's infrastructure and the key work that Center researchers are doing to keep the US economy strong.

CFIRE hosted a workshop on November 16th entitled Setting the Freight Transportation Research Roadmap.

The designated National University Transportation Center will operate alongside the existing Midwest Regional University Transportation Center. A full strategic plan has been approved by the USDOT.

CFIRE will collaborate with the 10 states of the Mississippi Valley Region to coordinate a regional freight pooled fund, the Mississippi Valley Freight Coalition. For details, visit http://www.mississippivalleyfreight.org
