Maintenance Performance Indicators Report 2009

Description: The 2009 Maintenance Performance Indicator inspections were completed statewide during July and August. These inspections evaluate the performance indicators by MoDOT’s Major and Minor highway systems. Please refer to page 2 of this report for MoDOT’s Major highway system network. The number of samples inspected statewide for year 2009 was 2398 as compared to 2439 samples inspected for year 2008. The Major Highway system had 1193 samples inspected and the Minor Highway system had 1205 samples inspected. Performance indicators are used in the analysis to measure the level of service provided on asphalt and concrete pavements, paved and unpaved shoulders, drainage, roadsides, and traffic control. The data collected was compiled into overall level of service (LOS) ratings, which measures customer satisfaction with the highway system.
